2012 Celeb Engagement Recap

2012 was an especially notable year for famous engagements. Here are a few more highlights from the list of celebrities who popped the question (and made everyone’s eyes pop with their gorgeous rings!)

  • Jennifer Aniston

Justin Theroux proposed to lovely sweetheart Jen in August with an emerald cut diamond that may have cost half a million dollars. The exact specs? We’re not sure – but the total carat weight is in the double digits.

  • Keira Knightley

The film superstar, engaged since May, is endlessly proud of her classic brilliant-cut solitaire in a platinum setting, courtesy of her Prince Charming, James Righton.

  • Cybil Shepherd

This is what happens when you win the heart of a jeweler! At least, a former jeweler – in this case, Andrei Nikolajevic, who proposed to Shepherd on one knee this summer. The joke is that he didn’t use the ring; instead, he used a carefully shaped paperclip before presenting her with a stunning vintage piece. Hopefully more photos are forthcoming!
