Academy Award Winning Dog Wears 6-Figure Diamonds

“Uggie” the Jack Russell, the canine co-star of the highly acclaimed film The Artist, recently appeared sporting Chopard diamond jewelry worth nearly $200,000, following the Awards ceremony this Sunday.

For his red carpet night, Uggie wore an 18-carat dog bone on his bowtie collar; this piece will be auctioned off to benefit the Amanda Foundation for homeless animals. Uggie himself was a pound rescue before making his film debut in 2005.

What can I say? It’s a dog’s life.
