$4,000 of carats, down the drain

Some days are just hard. And others are really hard.

A Georgia woman made the news last week after her $4,000 diamond bracelet accidentally slipped down the toilet. Cindy Edwards rescued her lost treasure with the help of a plumber who used a fiber-optic snake to trace it to the backwater valve, before it landed in the main sewage pipe.

The cost of the recovery? About half the value of the bracelet.

The owner says the bill was well worth it. After all, diamonds are a girl’s best friend (just don’t let them go down the drain!)
